But this isn\u2019t an \u201ceither\/or\u201d situation. Both can work together, and much of the time they do!<\/p>\n<h3>Air Filters Are a Good Starting Point<\/h3>\n<p>We don\u2019t recommend that anyone <em>only<\/em> have an air purifier installed. Air purifiers are excellent for small types of contaminants, but usually have a specific kind they target. (UV air purifiers, for example, eliminate microbes, bacteria, and mold spores.) They simply aren\u2019t that effective for larger pollutants, like standard dirt and carpet fibers.
